Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a discipline that studies the design of interactive digital systems to ensure they are both useful and usable. Research and practice in HCI is a significant enabler of the digital revolutions we witness and experience in our everyday use of digital technologies.
AfriCHI is a pan-African HCI conference that aims to increase African engagement in the practice and study of HCI, Interaction Design, and User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) fields. It is a platform to showcase the rich tapestry of African contributions from practical applications to theoretical insights.
The AfriCHI community consists of people from various backgrounds, including interaction designers, UI/UX practitioners, information architects, software engineers, human factors experts, information systems analysts, and social scientists interested in understanding the impact of digital technology on African societies and the world at large.
AfriCHI 2025 will be hosted by The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport at the College Of Computing & Information Technology located in the Smart Village, the heart of Egyptian innovation, high-technology, and business growth.
